Brenda Boozer

Brenda Boozer (born 1948) is an American opera singer. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, the mezzo-soprano spent thirteen seasons as a member of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

Biography

Boozer received her Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University, completed graduate studies at the Juilliard School, and was a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions. She has also performed with other opera companies including the Paris Opéra, Royal Opera, London, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Frankfurt Opera, San Francisco Opera, The Netherlands Opera, Teatro de Santiago and the Santa Fe Opera. She has appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and Late Night with David Letterman.

She was married to comedian/actor Robert Klein from 1973 to 1989; they had one son.[1] She is currently married to pianist Dr. Ford Lallerstedt and lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.[2]
